"Baby Keyboard" is a small freeware product from BabyKeyboard.Net, developed to assist parents and those who work with kids. Kids tend to mess with everything and imitate the adults in their own way. Once your baby have seen you working at the computer, he/she will likely want to play the computer - and this will have a bad effect on your computer's applications, as it will most definitely cause you to lose any unsaved work "thanks" to the child's random key strokes. And if you try to prevent the child from using the computer, the child will begin to cry and scream, and it may be harmful to the child's psyche if you try to beat him/her.
The solution to all this is to use "Baby Keyboard", which is a very simple program that will enable you to lock the dangerous keys of your keyboard such as the "Delete", "Backspace", "ESC" buttons while allowing all other safe keys to be pressed. This will offer a real experience to your child and will let the baby learn the basic interaction skills without any harm to your work or computer itself. The program consists in one small window, which, upon launching, will automatically disable all dangerous keyboard keys; and one button called "exit", which will terminate the program when it is clicked. It would be better if the program let you lock all keyboard keys or let you specify your own "important" keys - but it currently disables only the predefined set of keys, which the program's coders thought to be dangerous.
